I always thought we would take Jordyn to Disney for the first time for her 5th birthday. This would guarantee she would remember the experience and it would be worth the money, right? At 23 months my parents took her one weekend to give us a little break since Kennedy was just 2 months and I was sleep deprived. Well, Jordyn had the time of her life and would not stop talking about the experience for weeks. We wanted to see this joy for ourselves so we planned a weekend trip to Orlando. Here are my reasons to take your two-year-old to Disney: 1. They are FREE!!! Disney grants children under 3 free admission and with child prices for ages 3-9 ranging from $99-$114 for one day's admission that is a huge saving. We will definitely squeeze in one more free trip the weekend before her 3rd Birthday! 2. There are 33 attractions in Magic Kingdom alone that patrons of any height and any age can enjoy so there is plenty to do. This means if you have a younger child like us you don't have to miss out on the fun. Kennedy and I went on every ride James and Jordyn did except the Speedway one and we only had to wait 20mins for them. 3. RiderSwitch: If you do want to go on some of the more thrilling rides like Splash Mountain that have height restrictions that your toddler doesn't meet they have a RiderSwitch program that allows one parent to watch the kids while the other goes on a ride and then swap and the other parent watch the kids while you enjoy without having to wait on the long line. Click here for more details. 4. They are at the age when they still believe the characters walking around the park are real. They don't know that there are just adults under those costumes and they really enjoy the Disney Magic. The look on Jordyn's face and level of excitement when she got to have lunch with Doc McStuffins are indescribable.
5. They allow you to see Disney is a new light. Both Kennedy and Jordyn were so entranced by everything. They saw and pointed out every little detail we would typically miss out on as adults.
Have you taken your toddler to Disney? What was your experience?
